Aggeus Healthcare provides a comprehensive set of medical services, and we do it onsite at your facility, where your residents feel the most comfortable. Each facility can decide which service best suits their residents' needs. We do not bundle our services, as some of our competitors. A facility can sign up for all services or just one - the choice is yours. We do NOT force facilities into asymmetrical contracts and services they do not need, or feel their residents would not benefit from. Our model puts the residents' right to choose his or her providers, and the type of medical service offered, based on individual needs.
Our services include Podiatry, Dental, Optometry, and Audiology. As part of these disciplines, we also offer Fall Prevention and Balance testing for at risk patients, as well as, other Diagnostic Testing modalities.
We provide our services at no cost to the facility. We bill the individual resident's insurance carrier, be it Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance plan.
Please visit our service specific pages to find out more details on each service.
Enrollment
We make enrollment as simple as possible and again we offer you the choice of how to approach this process. Facility administrators or their designated personnel, with the participation of families, or responsible parties, can effortlessly enroll residents into our programs on line. Family members can enroll their loved ones online. We make the enrollment process as simple and quick as possible, so that both you and our providers can focus on what is really important . . . patient care.
Scheduling
Scheduling of services is also made very simple at Aggeus. The frequency of physician visits to your facility will depend on the service and the number of residents we have to service. Larger facilities require more frequent visits. We make sure our scheduling department works with your special needs.
Podiatry
- 1 in 7 nursing home residents are diabetic. That statistic translates into 360,000 people living in extended care facilities who have a diagnosis of diabetes. Every year, there are 500,000 newly diagnosed diabetics. Our healthcare management model is based on prevention of problems such as infections, wounds, and even amputations. The diabetics are only some of the residents that benefit from our programs. Residents with Peripheral Arterial Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, those with strokes, and those who have balance and transfer issues, are just of the people who benefit from this service.
- Our scheduling of visits follows the federal guidelines and recommendations for maintenance programs that are designed to decrease problems and complications in the elderly.
- Our physicians are residency trained and board certified. Their training is further enhanced by our ongoing programs designed specifically to educate the physician in the special needs of the elderly living in extended care facilities.
- Aggeus Healthcare offers several programs that target problems specific to the elderly. 40% of people over 65 years of age are diabetic.
